Solid scoring marked Australia’s innings in the cricket match against Western Province and when the home team batted again tney faced a de.icienry of 200 runs. The bowling was well collared in the afternoon and Chipperfiebl carried his bat after making a century. Chipperfield returned to his best form and played a delightful innings occupving 134 minutes. Sievers also gave an entertaining display. Darling was unable to bat owing to an indisposition.
