LOST IN BUSH
MAORI WOMAN MISSING FOUND IN WEAK STATE I ( Per Press Association ] DAR.GAVILLE, March 16. On Thursday last Mrs May Cassidy, 67. a Maori, went into the bush at Whatoro with a companion, Mrs Topia, for the purpose of gathering fungus. They became separated anti although Mrs Topia heard Mrs Cassidy calling she could not locate her. Mrs Topia made her way home and search parties immediately set out to find the missing woman. Mrs Cassidy’s footprints were easily distinguishable because of the double pleat on the gnmboots. and these were followe<l and the ashes of a recent fire discovered. The police and natives {searched an area of approximately 8060 acres of dense bush and it was not until 4.45 p.m. to-day that the police were sdvi ed that the woman had been found alive in a very weak state.
