PROF. J. S. HALDANE. LONDON, Marcu 15. The death has occurred of Piofessor J. 8. Haldane. The late Professor John Scott Haldane was born -at Edinburgh iu 1860, and was educated al, me Universities of Edinburgh, Jena, Birmingham, Cambridge, Dublin, Leeds, and Witwatersland (South Africa). He has been engaged in scientific mining investigation and teaching tinea 1885. was appointed Silliman Lecturer at Yale in 1916, and was Gifford Lecturer at Glasgow University, 1927-28.
