NEGLIGENT DRIVING
COURT IMPOSES PENALTIES. Raymond F. Pepper, for whom Mr A. D. Brodie appeared, pleaded guiltj in the Wanganui Magistrate’s Court yesterday, before Mr. J. H. Salman, S.M., to negligently driving a motorear in Heads Road. Senior-Sergeant L. R. Capp prosecuated. Mr. Brodie said that there was no question of speed in the matter. Tt was not possible for defendant to signal his intention as it was dark and his hand would not be seen in the glare of his lights. Peppei had merely misjudged the distance and speed of the oncoming car. Defendant was fined £3, and costi 16s. Passed a Tramcar. Alan Douglas Serimgconr, for driving past a stationary tramear, wai fined £2 and costs (10s). He wrote stating that Tin was a stranger locality.
