INTERPROVINCIAL EIGHTS OTAGO'S EXPERIENCE BOAT CON.'-AIDEIIABLY DAMAGED [ Per Press Association I DUNEDIN, March 16. While skimming over the shelterccl waters of Deborah Bay yesterday, Otago’s representative eight-oar crew had an unpleasant experience, striking a submerged pile which ripped a hole for about 14 feet, in the cedar boat in which they were training. The boat, valued at over £lOO, is that in which six interprovincial contests have been j contested. It will be a costly matter as the insurance does not cover damage of this nature. Fortunately, another boat has been reconditioned so that training will not suffer.
