THE HUNTERVLULE SALE Dalgety and Company report a smaller entry of stock at the Hunterville sale. The majority of the offering comprised small lines with an odd truck lot of useful lambs. There was a good attendance with sound competition for all lots submitted with almost a total clearance. Mr. J. Morrison’s choice entry of shorn ewe lambs made the record price of 29s 6d The quote: Shorn wether lambs. 12s 3d, J,3s 4d, 15s Id; small b.f. lambs, 9s Id, 12s 10d; f.m. ewes, 8s 9d, 14s lOd. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report an average penning for the time of the year at the above sale. The bulk of the entry was comprised of both tail-end ewes and lambs with few outstanding lines being submitted, consequently values were in sympothy with the quality offered. Quotations: 6horn b.f. lambs, 12s, 12s 6d, 13s to 14s 3d; shorn Romney lambs, 14s, 14s 6d, 15s, to 16s; small ewe lambs, 19s, 20s, 21s, 22s to 22s 3d; 4 and 5-year ewes, 16s, 17s 9d, 18s 3d to 20s; fattening ewes, 9s, 10s, 11s to 12s 9d. MABTON SALE. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report a yarding of 2500 mixed sheep at the above sale with the demand for all classes sound at values on a par with recent sales.
