BUTTER MARKET QUIET CHEESE* STEADIER The London butter market continues quiet, with prices still declining. The New Zealand retail price is now lid and Is per lb., while danish has been reduced Id to Is 3d. Deliveries of Now Zealand butter last week totalled 2545 tons, compared with 3014 tons for the previous week and 2327 tons a year ago. Ausralian deliveries were 1638 tons against tons a year ago. New Zealand stored butter has decreased to 3655 tons, including 1410 tons ex the Port Adelaide, compared with 4460 tons for the previous week and 6508 tons a year ago. Australian butter in store is 2316 tons tons against 1650 tons a year ago. The cheese market and prices are steadier. Deliveries of New Zealand cheese last week totalled 20.927 crates, compared with 16,727 crates a year ago, while the quantity in store is 72,929 ‘crates compared with 144,680 crates a year ago. Canadian deliveries were 6163 boxes against 3244 boxes a year ago, while the quantity in store is 97,865 boxes against 88,735 boxes a year ago.
