ROSTER ALTERED
NEW ZEALAND WOOL SALES The New Zealand Woolbrokers ’ Association notifies alterations in the roster- of wool sales in the Dominion for the current season as follows: Christchurch, from March 31 to March 30, 7 p.m.; IDunedin, from April 3 to April 2, 7 p.m.; Wellington, from April 8 to April 6, 1.30 p.m.; Napier, extra sale, April 8, 7 p.m. DISPOSAL OF WOOL Winchcombe, Carson and Co., Sydney, in reviewing the Australian wool sales, remark that those responsible for wool marketing have been wise to take advantage of the good conditions ruling. Indications point to favourable selling circumstances ahead," but no person can definitely prophesy the future. Political or other troubles might occur in some important consuming countries which would upset demand for raw material. In addition, it does not necessarily follow that small offerings produce higher values. A limit exists to the pubic’s ability to pay advanced prices, and trade would slacken if that level were exceeded. It must also be remembered that whether wool is offered or not, it is still 'available for consumption.
