This old-established Romney stud was founded in .1906 and nas been maintained, by rigid culling and careful breeding, at a consistently high level. Iho foundation ewes were bred at' Bainficld, and additions weie made from the old-established Burnside and Birchwood fle'eks. At. the Dispersal Sale of the Bainficld breeding flock in 1924 and of the hoggets in 1925, a further 325 owes were added. It is apparent, therefore, since that date culling has been very heavy. Rams used have been bred at Bainficld and Castlerock and the flock to-day is almost entirely of the famous IVaiorongomai blood. The Edondnle Romneys are noted for their splendid heads, constitution, deep bodies and well carried out frames, while they arc very free from britchiness. having been classed for many years by one of the best wool men in the South Island. These Romneys should do exceptionally well in tile North Island, as they are certain to shift, well. Commissions will bo executed at the sale for buyers unable to be present and will be personally selected by Mr C. E. Robertson.
