VALUABLE ANIMALS LOST Extraordinary ferocity was displayed .»y two valuable pedigreed Jeisey bulls which engaged in a light that ended when both icll over a precipice 100 ft. in Height, near Leongatlia, Vivtoria, recently. One was killed outright, and the other had two legs broken by lh-e fall and was destroyed. The scene of the combat was Mr. C. Calder’s property at Wild Dog Valley. For a long time the bulln charged one another, churning up the ground and inflicting severe wounds, from which both bled freely. One of the bulls wat owned by Mr. Calder and the other by Mr. J. Davis, and previously they had been grazing in separate paddocks. The end of the fight came when a terrific rush by Mr. Davis’ bull forced his oppe-nent over the bank, but the rush of the attacker’s charge carried him, too, over the edge. A jutting rock stayed the fall of both a few feet above the level of Wild Dog A alley Road.
