“Sport and General” Photo, INTERESTING AIR MODEL.— A model of the Mayo composite aircraft, exhibited at the Empire Airways Exhibition at the Science Museum, South Kensington, London, last month. The machine is designed to overcome the difficulty experienced in taking-off with a heavy load. It consists of an aeroplane loaded to capacity mounted on top of a lightly-loaded machine. When the composite machine has climbed to a safe height the upper aeroplane is released.
