Marton, suffering from a •' nervous breakdown THE WATER SUPPLY I A visit was paid to Marton this week bv Mr. Fox, engineer for A. D. Riley and Company, the contractors I for the installation of the new filters a the Marton waterworks. Several experiments were made at the filters ami settling tanks, testing for bacteria and lime content, the lime water being added before, during and after fil train. « to discover which would give the best results. The dam was holding 2ft. bin. on Monday afternoon and was expect I to fill right up if the rain continued all night. Tne filters were foanu to be working to full rated capacity, putting through from 450,000 to !S:i 00b gallons a day, easily coping with all demand-.
