“GAY DECEPTION” AND “THUNDER MOUNTAIN.”

There, in a nutshell, is the delicious, mirth-provoking situation in which Fox Film’s 4 ‘The Gay Deception,” coming to the Plaza Theatre today, places its romantic stars, Francis Lederer and Frances Dee. It all starts when Miss Dee, a sweet young secretary, who has longed all her life to be in the whirl of gay city life, wins a sweepstake prize and decides to spend it on one delirious spree of pleasure. Other stars, renowned. for long and brilliant success, refuse to appear in more than two or three films each year in order to insure their cinematic longevity. O’Biien, however, is one star who remains consistently popular while continuing to make a great many pictures yearly. A double measure of romantic interest it? afforded by the appearance of Barbara Fritchie. and Frances Grant in “Thunder Mountain.” Directed by David Butler, the picture tolls the story of a. fighting hero who outsmarts a gang of villainous claim jumpers.
