I The Registrar General's return just i published estimates’ the population of England and Wales at the middle of 1933 at 40,350,000 of whom 19.357,0'J0 were males and 20,993,000 females. Marriages in 1933 were 318.191, an increase of about 11,000 over 1932. Live births totalled 580.-113. or 33,559 fewer ’han in 1932.
