She was uppiuaclitiig the entrance to the -Domain Drive fium Stanley Street when rhe was accosted by a young man who remarked; ‘‘What about taking my photo? 7 ’ The girl made no reply, but walked | c.i. .Sue had nut proceeded far when I she noticed a man in a brown suit following her, but after entering the drive he disappeared into the uush. , The girl walked on and had just [ lul led vne uf the many winding bends when two youths, considered by the i girl to be under the influence uf Liquor, came down tue drive. One ' caught her by the arm and threw her I dovvn on a bank. She immediately got : up. only to be struck a blow on tae ’ face and knocked down again. Her .creams for help brought uu assistance and the youths cleared oil. .Somewhat dazed, she pulled herself together and proceeded semi-consciuusly up the drive. Hearing footsteps behind her, she turned ami caw a man in a brown suit approaching from behind. When he asked her what was the matter she ex* plained. He offered to escort her Home. They started to walk up the drive, but had only gone about IVO yards when he caught held ut her and ' thiew her v i a grass bank. .She struggled aiil struck him with the < amcra, while he struck her blows on! the face, one blow in the eye causing ' inuca cwelling. Fur the second lime within half an I I hour she cried out for assistance, but j none came until after her assailant had made oil into the bush. A few minutes later two women came down the drive and Constable Collins' arrived. The girl's description of her assailant in the second instance is a mau of about 28 years of age. wearI ing a light blown suit with hat to match, while sandshoes, and of slight build.
