ELECTRIC LIGHT SPORTS

CYCLING AND RUNNING TO-MORROW’S BIG ATTRACTION. ON COOK'S GAPvDENS. Excellent entries have been received for the electric light sports meeting at Cook’s Gardens to-morrow evening by the Wanganui Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club. Visiting athletes and cyclists from Palmerston North, Levin, Feilding, Taihape, and Patea intend competing, and if the weather is favourable the meeting should be a big success. At a similar meeting held prior to the holidays some very exciting cycling contests were witnessed, and tomorrow’s racing should be equally thrilling. The running and field events will also be contested by large fields, and they should hep to make up a splendid evening’s sport.
