The Archbishop of Canterbury (Dr. Cosmo Lang), in a wireless broadcast j last night, stated that he had invited the authorities of Christian communy ions in Europe to issue simultaneously u to their people a solemn reminder of their responsibility in these days of iii- ’’ ternational anxiety. e “Answers 1 have already received," e he said, “show that in the week beginy ning on the first Bunday of the New Year, throughout a great part of Europe and with a unity never before ate tained, an appeal to the loyalty of v Christian citizens will be made. Much l " depends upon the answer, for assuredly Europe, and indeed the world, stands at the crossroads.” 11 ■ - ■
