WANGANUI THIS WEEK The seventh annual csperanto con gress is to lake place in \\anganui dur tog the New Year holidays. Between 30 and 40 delegates air expected iv attend from the eight Dominion Erpcrinto Clubs. This does not include the members and supporters of the Wanganui Club. The beadquarters of the congress will be at the \ ictoria League rooms, St. Hill Street where a display Esperanto literature , including the Bible, will be exhibited. The following is the cfficial pr-'* 51 am me:— Tuesday. December 31. —* p.m., formal opening of congress and welcome to delegates b. the Major ,J t Wanganui (Mr. W. J. Rogers/, followed by the official and general meeting; 9 p. m -, three-net play by the Wellington Esperanto Club; 10 p.m., Shakespearean play by the Wanganui Esperanto Club. Wednesday, January L a.m.. cfnt tai picnic up the river, returning about 5 p.m.; 8 p.m., social and dance interspersed with items as well as two plays produced by the Wanganui Esperanto Club. The public U specially invited to this function, free ot tharge. Thursday, January 2.—1 p.m.. g«n--•lal meeting, sc.-siofl, tea uxd formal closing at 5 p.m.
