Christy jfade a dour fight to avoid an < innings defeat, but, excepting O’Connor, was little assisted by the tail-enders, giving Marylebone their best win of the tour. Doubtless they are an improving side and the matches here will be good practice for the New Zealand tour. Baxter in this match proved a class bowler who will probably come here again.
