Jork .McAvoy (12.01), from Lancashire. middle-weight and light-heavy-weight champion of the British Empire, made an impressive American debut nt Ma<ii«on Square Garden to-night, decisively outpointing Al M'cCoa (12.21), the Boston light-heavyweight. McAvoy won seven of the ten rounds and received the unanimous vote of the refcroe and the two judges. The visitor displayed a large assortment of punches, including a right to the jaw which once had his opponent on the floor, and several other times had him on the of a knock *'ut.
