As a result of counting fu. her votes in the Manawa’tu electorate the seat has been won by Labour, the figures being:— C. L. Hunter (Lab.) 2902 *J. Linklater (Nat.) .... 2932 Col. Closey (Ind.) 1273 M. H. Oram (Democrat) 673 Informal 35 •Sitting Member. About a dozen votes remain uncounted but cannot affect the result.
