Misses E. and J. Hall have returned to Wanganui from a visit to Wellington. Mrs. 8. A._ Reid is a Wanganui visitor to Wellington. Miss Moya Walker, of the nursing staff of the Wellington Hospital, is spending a vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Walker, Aramoho. Mrs. F. W. Wagstaff, Gloucester Street, was hostess yesterday at a small party in honour of Mrs. Firth, of Auckland. Miss Enid Gordon is the guest of Mrs. P. Graham St. Hill Street. ♦•• • t Mrs. Gifford Moore, Glasgow Street, left yesterday to spend the week-end at Takapau as the guest of Mrs. Speedy. Mrs. W. Strachan, of Okoia, and Mrs. E. T. Rice, St. John's Hill, will leave on Monday to spend a week’s holiday in Waverley. Miss Diana Roberts, of Pa’tea, who left yesterday for Wellington, entertained a number of her Patea friends at a jolly little party given at. her home on Wednesday evening. Miss Roberts has taken up a new position in Wellington. Miss K. A. Woodward, who left New Z>ala:id with the first contingent of nurses on the outbreak of the Great War, and has since resided in Paris and England, has now returned to New Zealand for a long holiday, and is at present staying with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. L. A. Woodward and Mrs. Woodward, Christchurch. Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Ziegler will arrive at Wellington on Monday from London, via Auckland. Mrs. Ziegler was formerly Miss Margery ‘Gray, daughter of the late ‘Sir Alexander Gray and Lady Gray, of Wellington. She has been continuing her art studies while in Loudon.
