ITALIAN LINER ON FIRE.—Photograph just received of the Italian liner Ausonia on fire in Alexandria Harbour, Egypt, on October 18. The fire followed an explosion which occurred about 8 a.m. When in the afternoon it was thought that the fire was under control, there was a second explosion, and the ship was soon blazing from stem to stern. Owing mainly to the gallant work of men from the British warships, the 275 people on board, except for several members of the crew, were saved.
