SIVER WEDDING CELEBRATION ' On Alonday evening Alesdames J. i-Currie and D. Lupton were joint hostlosses at a party given in honour of j Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Wallace for the 25th anniversary of their wedding. I The party took place at the home of Air. and* Mrs. D. Lupton, Herengawe ! Road. On arrival, Airs. Lupton presented Airs. Wallace with a pretty i bouquet of pink and lemon rosebuds and maidenhair fern and Mr. and Mrs. i Wallace entered to the st rains of the [‘‘Wedding March,” played by Mrs. .Graves. | The drawing-room was very pretty with bowls of rhododendrons and visearia., and in the dining-room, where the supper was set, the tables were, .done in roses, with large bowls of Oriental poppies about the room. In the centre of the table was a beautiful cake, decorated with silver horse shoes and leaves. During the evening progressive euchre was played, jAlrs. Fowler winning the prize and iAirs. Dallison winning the consolation (prize. Air. P. Aiken secured the prize for men. while Air. Fowler won the consolation prize. Airs. Fowler was the winner of an interesting and amusing competition. At the conclusion of I the euchre a sumptuous supper was I served in the dining-room. Air. Curjrie, in handing Airs. Wallace the knife to cut the cake, made a short speech, j which was followed by a few remarks .from Mr. P. Aiken. Mr. Currie then 'presented the guests of honour with a beautiful pyrex dish in a silver stand, and wished them both many more I happy years. ‘ i Air.
