ORDEAL FOR DIVERS
Two divers had remarkable escapes from death while working in 20ft. of water on the floor of the main basin of the docks at Aberdeen recently. A trawler, after striking the jetty, rebounded against the divers’ boat. The divers were carried off their feet by the swirl of water, and it was a miracle that the air pipes were not severed. As it was, the handles of the air pumps were knocked out of the operators’ hands.
