The useful work carried out by the various life-saving centres in New Zealand over the last 25 years is referred to in the annual report to be presented at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Council of the Royal Life-saving Society. The establishment of the New Zealand Association was a signal success and 80 clubs have now joined. The Bamford Shield was won by New Plymouth Girls’ High School, with 186 awards, from Christchurch Technical College and Palmerston North High School.
