MELBOURNE DOCTOR
CHARGE OF MURDER AN AUSTRALIAN CRIME MELBOURNE, Nov. 26. The body of Dr. Frank Stanislaus Lougbnan, aged 35, was found in the doctor’s surgery at Fitzroy. Dr. Loughnan had been battered about the head and a blood-stained tyre lever was beside the body. Late last night another medical mar. was being questioned by the police. Dr. Loughnan was well known in the sporting world. FATAL QUARREL SEQUEL ATTACK WITH TYBE LEVER Received Nov. 26, 11.30 p.m. MELBOURNE, Nov. 26. Dr. Allan John Bothamley, aged 45, of Johnston Street, Fitzroy, was before the City Court to day charged with the murder of Dr. Loughnan, as cabled this morning. Detective Hogg gave evidence that Bothamley visited the detective office last night and declared that he had killed Dr. Loughnan. The detective slid it had been alleged that an argument occurred in connection- with the payment of money due for a medical practice which Bothamley bought from Dr. Loughnan. A serious altercation occurred in the surgery. Dr. Loughnan died of severe wounds inflicted with a tyre lever. Bothamley was remanded till December 4. Bail was refused.
