Nov. 26, 4 p.m. General Situation. —Pressure is still low' to the east, bijt is rising o\ er the Dominion, with the approach of au anti-cyclone from the Tasman Sea. Forecast.—Winds: Strong southerly of gale force at places, but gradually decreasing. Seas (New Zealand waters): High south of East Cape, elsewhere rough and later moderating. Eastern Tasman Sea: Strong but decreasing southerly winds with rough but moderating seas. Weather: Still squally and changeable with further passing showers, and on parts of the East Coast hail. Fine, however, in Westland, and conditions shortly improving generally. Temperatures cold, with some mther sharp inland frosts to-night. The New Zealand Friends’ School St. John’s Hill, report for 24 hours ending 6 p.m. yesterday: Bright sunshine, 1 hour 30 minutes. Rainfall, .2 inches. Shade temperature: Alaximum, 51 deg. Fahr.; minimum. 44 deg. Fahr. Time of sunset to-day, 7.28 p.m. Time of sunrise to-morrow, 4..4S : .m. (Summer time).
