Opotiki, this afternoon. Mr. K. S. Williams, member for the Bay of I’leniv. collapsed and died. Occa sion was being taken by the constituents of all parts of the electorate to present Air. Williams with an illuminated address as a mark of apprecia tion of his services. Several speeches had been made when Air. William* collapsed. He was carried indoors but ex pired before medical aid was available. He had been in bad health for some lime, and was retiring from active poll
