OPERATOR’S DISCOVERY
AERIAL INTERFERED WITH. ( Per I*t Association ) AUCKLAND, Nov. 25. Interference w’tih the aerial at the transmitting plant of Station IZB was discovered by the operator shortly before the station was due to go on the air at 7 o’clock to-night. In view of the jamming of the station on Sunday night, the operator made a careful examination of the installation v. r hen he arrived, and found that a guy holding the lead-in from the aerial had ben cut, allowing the aerial to make contact with the roof of the building. The operator, said later that had the power been turned on for any length of time without the interference being discovered .irreparable damage might have been done to the plant. A repair was made and the police were informed. A constable was in attendance at the transmitter while the broadcasting was in progress to-night.
