M.C.C. TEAM’S TOUR
MATCH AT SYDNEY NEW SOUTH WALES WIN TEN WICKETS MARGIN Received Nov, 25, 11.5 p.m. SYDNEY, Nov. 25. The attendance was again poor when the Alarylebone v. New South Wales game was resumed in i.deal cricketing weather. New South Wales won by ten wickets, outplaying Alarylebone in all departments. The Englishmen’s batting to-day was even poorer than in the first innings. With the exception of Hardstnff, they do not appear to have struck form in Sydney. Fast bowling held no terrors for them but the slow bowlers, White, Chilvers and Aludge, always had them scratching. McGilvray, at silly point, took two great catches and brilliantly saved innumerable runs. The three bowlers mentioned turned the ball considerably and maintained a good length throughout. The visitors showed bad judgment in running between the wrekets. AFarylebone lhad lost eight for 110 -when Parks, who suffered from a strained leg muscle, and Sims became associated. By careful play they saved an innings defeat. New South Wales knocked off the necessary 39 runs in 22 minutes. The total attendance for the match w:«.s 19.000 and the takings £1047.
