CONSISTENCY
Sir, —May I quote two passages from recent speeches of two ministers’of the Crown. The Hon. A. Hamilton: “.Referring to the controversial subject of the raising of the rate of exchange—the proper term for which was depreciation of the currency. . The Right Hon. J. G. Coates: “The cruellest form of cutting wages is of depreciating currency.” The present Government raised the rate of exchange.— I am, etc., “VVA NIGER ER.”
