Meteorological Office, Wellington, Monday, Nov. 25, 4 p.m. General Situation.—The recent depression is now situated east of the Dominion and an intense anti-cyclone covers Eastern Australia and the Tasman Sea. Forecast.—Winds: Moderate to strong but decreasing south-westerly winds. Seas (New Zealand waters): Moderate north of Castlepoint, elsewhere rough, but gradually moderating. Eastern Tasman Sea: Fresh south-west winds w’ith rough seas, but wind and sea slowly moderating. Weather: Changeable, with scattered passing showers, especially in districts with a westerly aspect, but the weather improving generallv. Cool temperatures, with light inland frosts in the (South Island. Time of sunset to-day, 7.26 p.m. Time of sunrise to-morrow, 4.49 hours ending 6 p.m. yesterday: Bright sunshine, 6 hours 50 minutes. Rainfall, nil. (Shade temperature: Maximum, 59 deg. Fahr.; minimum, 59 deg. Fahr. Time of sunset to-day, 7.27 p.m. Time of sunrise to-morrow, 4.48 t.iu. (Summer time).
