BUSH AT AUCKLAND A FORTUNATE ESCAPE. [ Per Press Association. 1 AUCKLAND, Nov. 24. The representative cricketer and footballer, R. G. Bush, had a narrow escape from serious injury when playing in a cricket match yesterday. Fielding at short leg, he was struck a glancing blow on the forehead when the batsman played a powerful ondrive. A peculiar feature of the incident was that the batsman was (‘aught when the ball rebounded from Bush’s forehead. IN THE SECOND GRADE MARIST A AND B TEAMS. The second grade match between the Marist A and B teams, played on Peat Park on Saturday, resulted in a win for the more experienced side by a margin of 17 runs. Wallace, Csonin and Koorey also reached double figures Bowling for the “colts,” Gilbert had a good afternoon, taking five for 20 off 15 overs. Set with 100 to get to win, the B team made a good effort but the last wicket fell with the total 17 runs short. J. Wallace 26, E. Wallace 14, Burton 14, and M.
