THE NEW SYDNEY LEAVES PORTSMOUTH.—Commanded by Captain J. V. Penrose Fitzgerald, H.M.A.S. Sydney left Portsmouth on October 29 without ceremony, and is expected to reach Australia early next month. The new Sydney is a ship of 7000 tons and cost £1,400,000 to build.
