BIGHT HON. E. SHORTT. LONDON, Nov. 11. The death has occurred of the Right Hon. Edward ohortt, K.C. The Right Hon. Edward Shortt. K.C., has been president of the British Roan! of Film Censors since 1929. From 1907 to 191 S he was Recorder of Sunderland, in 191 S-19 he was Chief Secretary for Ireland, and from 1919 to 1922 was Home Secretary. He repre.«.ented West Newcastle in the House >f <’omnions as a Liberal from 1910 to 1922. Some years ego he pail a flying ■ isit to New Zealand.
