DESTROYED BY FIRE

SOUTHERN BOX FACTORY [ Per Press Association. ] INVERCARGILL, Nov. 11. One of the best equipped and most up-to-date box and timber factories in Southland, situated a quarter of a mile from Tuatapere, was totally destroyed by lire early this evening. The plant belonged to Hamilton and Coy. and was recently taken over by Mr. J. H. Williams. About 10,000 feet of ; timber was stacked in the mill and this was destroyed, together with 15 000 feet in the racks outside. The cause of tl«» fire is unknown, ! but the blaze appeared to start in the vicinity of the boiler. The damage is 1 estimated at £5OOO. j
