BOSWELL COWAN A quiet but pretty wedding was .'uiciunisrd at Christ Church, W'atiga- ; nui, on Saturday, September 21, when I the marriage tc-ok place of Beryl Fauiiii, second daughter of Alt. and Mis. W. J. Cowan, Ngamalapouri, to flame.' Lawrence second son of Air. and the late Mrs. Boswell, New Ply mouth. The Rev. Gardiner. Waverley. officiated, and the wedding music was played bv Air. Slater. The bride, who entered, the church on the arm of her father’, wore a gown of ivory satin made on slim fitting lines, the bodice With a lace yoke and lung ligat sleevo, and the skirt falling into a graceful train. She wore an embroidered veil held to the head with a coronet of pearls and Grange blossom and carried a sheaf of camelias and maidenhair fern. i Tire bride was attended by Ali>> Dora Jones, who wore a charming frock '! deep apricot, silk taffetas, made on slim fitting lines, with an apricot straw hat to tune, and can it'd a bouquet of ih-eesias and maidenhair fern. The little flower girl, Rita Palmer, wore a deep apricot silk taffetas frock and carried a posy of petticoat daffodils and primroses. The page boy. Bobby Palmer, was in a white satin : suit and carried a silver” horse shot, which he presented to the bride. Air. Hector Coftan, of Ngamalapouri. brother of the bride, ably carried out the duties of best man, and Air. C. Russ and Air. F. Walter officiated as ushers. The reception wa-s held at the Rendezvous. The guests were received bv Air. and Airs. Cowan, th 1 ’ latter wearing a dove grey matalasse frock with bat to t< ne, and carrying a posy of violets. All the usual toastu were honoured, happy speeches made, and many tele grams of congratulation received.
