SERVICES TO THE SPORT A signal tribute has been paid to Mr D. G- Stotter, captain of the West End (Auckland) Rowing Club, by his club, by naming one of the club’s new eightoar hest-and-best boats the “D.G.5.,” in recognition of Mr Stotter’s outstanding services to the club. He has been club captain for the past two and a-half years, and rendered conspicuous service in the captaincy during the club’s memorable golden jubilee year. Mr Stotter .s honorary troa.urer to both the Auckland Rowing Association and the New Zealand Rowing Championship Regatta Club, which had the onerous task of ’controlling the New Zealand rowing championships in Auckland last season.
