Graham, of Wanganui, was a recent visitor to Christchurch. Miss K. Montgomery, Taihape, paid a visit to Wanganui during the weekend. Mrs. T. A. Betts and Miss P. 8. B.etts were recent visitors to Wanganui from Masterton. Mr. and Mrs. G. IDurrant. Taihape, were in Wanganui at the week-end. Mrs. Barns, Egmoat Village, is visiting Wanganui. Mrs. J. G. Denniston and family, Victoria Avenue, have left for Lowry Bay, where they will spend a week’s holiday. • * * ♦ Miss A. G. Kane, of Wellington, who has been on a visit of several months to England and the Continent, is returning to Now Zealand by the Mataroa. Airs. Wilfred Andrews will arrive in Wanganui this afternoon by train from Wellington. She has been engaged as soloist for the Police-Press charity concert this evening. Airs. E. Stevens, who has been visiting her daughter, Aliss A. Stevens, Gonvillc, will return to Palmerston North this week accompanied by Aliss Stevens. Aliss Jean Batten, the New Zealand airwoman, has been signed up by the British-Gaumont company to appear in the new aerial picture, “R.A.F. ”
