| BUTTER MARKET FIRM CHEESE AGAIN IMPROVES The London butter market continued steady last week, and closed firm, at unaltered prices. Deliveries of New Zealand butter last week totalled 1300 tons, hgainst 1648 tons for the previous week and 1414 tons a year ago. Australian deliveries were 1342 tons, against 1436 tons a year ago. The Imperial Economic Committee's estimated stocks of all butters in store is 1,179,272 boxes compared with 1,186,388 boxes a fortnight ago, and 1,857,298 boxes a year ago. New Zealand butter in store has dropped to 3020 tons, including 322 tons ex the Tort Gisborne, compared with 600 i) tons for the previous -week, and 11,842 tons a year ago. Australian stored butter shows a further drop of 4700 tons, against 5500 tons for the previous week, and 8966 tons a year ago. The cheese market showed a further improvement last week, and closed firm with New Zealand white at 49s to 50s, and coloured at 48s 6d to 49s 6d. Deliveries of New Zealand cheese last week totalled 20,662 crates, compared with 22,560 <crates a year ago. The quantity in store has dropped a further 5422 crates to 16.522 crates, compared with 126,860 crates a year ago. During the past four weeks New Zealand , stored cheese, has decreased bv nearly 50,000 crates. Canadian deliveries last week totalled 3422 boxes, against, 4920 boxes a year ago, while the quantity in store is 45,779 boxes, compared with 80.762 boxes a year ago.
