Oxygen Tent Saves Life
“DYING” MAN S RECOVERY How the life of a man who appeared to bo dying was saved by placing him in an “oxygen tent” for II days is revealed in the Lancet. This oxgyen tent is a compartively new apparatus. It consists of a structure which encloses the patient as he lies in be I. Arrangement is made so that there is delivered to the interior of the tent a continuous flow of pure oxygen, which is maintained at a suitable temperature by a can, filled w'ith ice, which is Ist in from the roof. The strength of the oxygen to be breathed is scientifically controlled. District visitor: “Well, Mrs Jones, how are you nowadays?” Mrs Jones: “Not very grand, miss,” was the reply, “Al? haricot views is awful to-day.” District visitor: "They must be giving you beans.”
