MATRON LOSES POSITION [ Per Press Association. I AVAIHI, Aug. 21. Following several changes in the nursing and domestic staff at the Waihi Hospital, the board held an inquiry last evening into a complaint made by a nurse who, after being suspended, was reinstated and finally dismissed. The nurse in her statement alleged that she had been badly treated by the matron, and that, there was no justification for her dismissal. After a sitting extending over four i hours, during which statements were made by the medical superintendent and the matrun, who said that the services of the nurse had not been satisfactory, the board decided to order the reinstatement of the complainant and to dispense with the .services of the matron forthwith.
