A COMPETITOR AT THE NATIONAL EISTEDDFOD OF WALES.— The late Archdruid Pedrog standing on the traditional stone boulders at an inaugural, ceremony of the Koval National Eisteddfod of Wales. With him is the “penillion" singer, who is singing impromptu topical stanzas to harp accompaniment. This art is difficult to acquire as he has to improvise his verses as soon as he recognises the melody that the harpist is playing.
