DIESEL ENGINE TESTS. BOARD FULLY SATISFIED. [ British Official Wireless. ] RUGBY, Aug. 21. The test of 850 Diesel-engined London buses during the past few years has satisfied the London passenger transport experts of their superior advantages to petrol-driven vehicles on the grounds of economy and safety, mid the board has decided that in replacing the existing fleet of buses and coaches it will order only the Diesel type. There are some 57,000 buses and 500 coaches in service. The change-over is not expected to be completed for ten years.
