WANGANUI GUN CLI» ’ ANNUAL MEETING HELD, ELECTION OF OFFICERS. > The annual meeting of member# •£ the Wanganui Gun Club was held on. Tuesday night, when t»he uiuth annual report, as lollows, was adopted:— It is with pleasure, stated the committee’s report, that we have to place before members what must be coaaidered the best year of activities to date. At the close of last year we had a membership of 4U. This year we have 50 members, with 10 new members, which is very gratifying and. speaks well for the future of the club. During the year improvements were made to the trap and traphouse. To our worthy president, Mr. T. Cuthbertson, under whose guidance the improvements were carried out, we offer our sincere thunks. The commissariat department waa again in uho capable hands of Mrs. U. Keiuptou, whom we sincerely thank. Wo also wish to thank the press for their interest in the shoots and for the reporting of same. We also wish io thunk tau donors of trophies for their generosity which made the shoots more interesting. Twelve shoots wore held during the year unu the attendance of members was very gratifying indeed. luterclub shoots wero held during ihe year with the Wavorley Gun Club and ou. each occasion an enjoyable time waa spent, in April last we held a two days’ shc-ot which included the North Island Clay Championship and three £5O handicaps. There was a record of 41 entries iu the championship shoot, including live past champions, and. judging uy the complimentary remarks ou the grounds and the outside comment, the above shoot must be considered one of the best held iu the North Island for souio considerable time, which is very gratifying to the executive who framed such a courageous programme and worked for its success. Mr. W. Oates, of Tokomaru Bay, won the championship, being the only competitor to shoot the possible. W. AlcKeo (Wanganui), U. P. Webber (Morrinsville), D. T. North (Whangarei), and J. Mills (Hawke’s Bay) divided the first £su handicap. F. joblin (Tokomaru Bay), and H. (Wanganui) divided first and second, money, and F. F. Ramsay (Auckland), U. I’. Webber (Morringville), R. E. Cuthbertson (Wanganui), D. P. North. (Whangarei), H. Howlett (Hastings) and D. AlcLaohlau (Mitsterton) div’ued third money in the second £5O handicap, while D. I’. North, W. Oates, J. Ozani and A. Thompson divided the third £5O handicap. D. P. North also won the aggiegate cup with 79 breaks out of SI. A short record of the club’s championship events and trophy shoots is appended: Club championship W. McKee; double rise (A. Coe’s trophy) Moore-Hunter; president’s aggregate, A. H.
