TONNAGE INCREASED
LINER QUEEN ALARY. ( British Official Wralaaa. J RUGBY, Aug. 20. It is now staled that the tonnage of the new £6,000,000 liner Queen Mary, which is being fitted out at Clydebank, will be KO,OOO. || was at first estimated that she would be a vessel of 73,000 tons, but alterations will increase the tonnage. Many ingenious devices to increase the comfort of her passengers have been introduced. These include the provision of steel column <, which will eliminate the throb of her horsepower engines. It has been pro visionallv arranged that the Queen Mary will begin her trials on May 21 next.
