BRITISH ’PLANE ORDERS MANUFACTURERS CUT PRICE [By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyrightj Received Aug. 20, 9.45 p.m. LONDON, Aug. 19. The Air Ministry has negotiated with the aircraft manufacturers for a 10 per cent cut on the purchase of £2,006,000 worth of aeroplanes which the Air Ministry has decided to buy within .18 months, says the Daily Herald. The trade realises it is to its advantage to cut prices when it is receiving orders as large as any handed out in wartime.
