STATE DINNER
TO AUSTRALIAN PRIME 1 MINISTER ARRIVING AT AUCKLAND ( Par Press Assoclattoa >. WELLINGTON, Aug. r>. It has been decided to give a State dinner at Auckland on Friday to rhe Prime Minister of Australia, Mr. J. A. Lyons, who is on his way home from a |'i«it to London in connection with the King’s Silver Jubilee celebrations and informal conferences with tnc British authorities on the meat question. Mr. Lyons was travelling in the Union Steam Ship Company’s liner Niagara when it was damaged in a collision during a fog and he had to transfer to the Monterey. The Hon. E. A. Ransom said to-night that Hon. R. Masters, as Minister oF Industries and Commerce, wouM go to Auckland and, on behalf of trie Government, welcome Air. Lyons, with whom he will discuss the question of trade between Australia and New Zealand.
