TABLE TENNIS CLUB There was a good attendance at the weekly meeting of the Sandon Table Tennis Chib on Saturday evening. Following were the winners of the stars: A grade, Dwyer Star, Miss M. MINIATURE RIFLES McKELVIE CUI’ CHANGES HANDS A McKclvie Cup match was shut on Fridav evening between the Sandon Club (holders) and the Awahuri Club, the match resulting in a win for the Awahuri Club with a margin of tv o points. The president of the Sandor, Club. Mr \V. J. Jenkins, in presenting tip* cup to Mr. .1. Mi.ligan, congratulated the Awahuri Club on annexing the coveted McKclvie Cup. In loing -n Mr. Jenkins said he was pleased that it was Awahuri that had beaten h.ix cun as they had not won it prev» on sly. Mr. Milligan, in reply, :-aid tlies were very pleased to have succeeded at last, as they had on two occasion.just missed winning the cup by a point.. Mr. Milligan further staled that. he was very pleased with the remarks ol the president of the Saudon Chib and when they lost it again he trusted, it would be to Saudon.
